What is the Express Entry?

The Express Entry program is well known as the most simplified, fast and efficient Canadian immigration program system for managing immigration applications, offering permanent residence in 6-months to qualified skilled workers. The Express Entry program was implemented in January 2015 designed to select skilled workers for immigration to Canada giving individuals worldwide the opportunity to live and work in Canada under a permanent resident status.

The rapid growth and the strong demand in Canada for highly skilled workers lead many individuals from around the globe to seek for a Canadian permanent residency using the Express Entry immigration system.

Express Entry Immigration Programs:

The Express Entry Visa includes the following immigration programs:

  • Federal Skilled Worker (FSW)
  • Federal Skilled Trades Class (FSTC)
  • Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
  • Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)

Each program has its own eligibility requirements set by the Canadian government. Individuals interested in immigrating to Canada on a permanent basis and who meet the criteria for at least one of these immigration programs, can officially express their interest in becoming a Canadian permanent resident by assembling an Express Entry profile.

As soon as candidates are added to the Express Entry pool, they will be scored according to the program’s point-based Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). The score will dictate the candidate’s rank inside the pool. Candidates with the highest scores will be invited to apply to immigrate to Canada as permanent residents.
